Woodstock, Georgia Michael Kent Long 2024 Michael Kent Long, lovingly known as Mike, passed away on August 19, 2024, at the age of 84 in Woodstock, GA. A man of many talents and passions, Mike led a full and vibrant life. Born in Richmond, IN, Mike was the proud owner of the Richmond Glass Company, a business he managed successfully until 1982. After enduring the heartbreaking loss of his daughter, Kimberly, Mike and Senlin sought solace and a fresh start by moving to Sanibel Island, FL. While in Sanibel Mike had a rewarding career in Real Estate. In 1987, he relocated to Marietta, GA, where he established a home improvement business, further showcasing his dedication to hard work. Born on Nov. 24, 1942 in Richmond, Ind. Larry was a beacon of love, hope and inspiration to all who knew him. He was the first Black quarterback in the history of Richmond High School's football team and held the record for high jump well into the 1980s.Larry became one of the first Black owners of a Dunkin' Donut franchise in the United States, as well as the first Black franchise owner of a McDonald's in Indianapolis. An avid tennis player in her day and a bird watcher, Jo was an adventurer and loved to travel, having visited all seven continents in her lifetime. Jo was a lover of animals, books, and pottery.
